The Zoo

Told you the Zoo was next on my to do list!!! I rounded up one of Reagans best buddies and we set out first thing in the morning..we wanted to be there when it opened at 9.. its getting close to 100 degrees outside..I don't need to be out in the heat and not in the water.. any way.. we had such a great day at the zoo.. they open a new area..and it was fabulous..so great.. we didn't even venture to the regular part of the zoo.. spent 4 hours with practically no one around..such a great day.

Every animal we looked at ..came to the windows to see us..

The female gorillas were very nice.. and came to say hi..the male Patrick.. well..he ran up to the window.. and well lets just say I didn't have a chance to take a picture.. I was leaving..quickly..

Those girls.. monkeying around.. ha ha!

Then a crocodile found them.. ah....Papa.. this kid takes after you!!

This mom came to show us her baby.. so very cute!

I think our girls want to stay with the chimps!
We took a monorail ride that took us around to see more wildlife.. nice and relaxing!
Then on to the elephants!!

We touched snakes..

took breaks

fed the giraffe
drove the safari..

and we ended our journey on the carousel.. a zebra and a humming bird.. the girls had a great time...we followed their lead and got to see a ton of animals, it was hot, but fun and I was glad to squeeze one more thing in before the summer begins!!
